Welcome To The Gibbs Law Firm
The Gibbs Law Firm, APC was founded in 1974 by Gerald R Gibbs in San Clemente, California. Today it remains one of the oldest firms in south Orange County focused on Estate Planning, Real Estate, Bankruptcy and Business Law. From day one, The Gibbs Law Firm, APC has been dedicated to providing its clients with the highest level of professional service, to upholding the dignity of the legal profession and to serving the local communities through on-going participation in charitable organizations. The firm's commitment to the local South Orange County community includes representation and financial support of many nonprofit entities including Laura's House, Mary Erickson Community Housing Foundation, The Ocean Festival, Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens, the San Clemente Chamber of Commerce, the San Clemente Downtown Businessman's Association, Age Well Senior Services and many more.
Over the past 48 years, the firm has developed a unique approach to the delivery of legal services. While many firms have attempted to be a “one-stop shop” for all legal needs, The Gibbs Law Firm, APC remains focused on its core practice which includes Estate Planning, Transactional Real Estate, Bankruptcy and Business law. Rather than delegating services out, the firm's attorneys remain hands-on with their clients and cases – bucking the trend towards use of non-attorneys for critical case management and processing. Additionally, through their active membership in organizations such as the Lawyers with Purpose (LWP), National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA), Orange County Bar Association (OCBA), Orange County and Inland Empire Bankruptcy Forums (OCBF & IEBF), the attorneys and staff of The Gibbs Law Firm, APC remain on the cutting edge of the legal services industry.
With an emphasis on Estate Planning, Real Estate, Bankruptcy and Business Law, we strive to establish lifetime relationships with our clients, providing legal services to individuals and businesses.
The Gibbs Law Firm is a proud member of Lawyers With Purpose.
Practice Areas
Estate Planning
When estates aren't managed and someone dies without a will, their possessions will distributed to their next of kin. By not making a will or otherwise making estate plans, you may be giving up control of their estate and have no say in how the property is divided.
Real Estate
Real estate law is the area of law that governs buying, using and selling land. It's the law that governs how people acquire property and what they can do with the property that they own. Real estate law is also called real property law.
Bankruptcy
Bankruptcy laws were written to give people whose finances collapsed, a chance to start over. Whether it was bad decision-making or bad luck, lawmakers could see that in a capitalistic economy, consumers and businesses who failed, need a second chance.
Business
Business law encompasses all of the laws that dictate how to form and run a business. This includes all of the laws that govern how to start, buy, manage and close or sell any type of business.
